Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 128GB

The Tab S8 is Samsung's answer to the iPad Air, and on paper it beats it in places. An 11 inch 120Hz screen, expandable storage via microSD, and the S Pen included in the box rather than sold separately for a hundred and twenty pounds. It also runs Samsung DeX, which turns the tablet into something close to a desktop when you plug in a keyboard.

An end of contract tablet, restored in our workshop with the battery verified at 91 percent.

The 120Hz screen is the thing to notice. Scrolling and handwriting feel noticeably smoother than on a standard 60Hz tablet, and once you have used it you tend not to go back.
